Our story began years ago when we first met as friends and competitors on the tennis court. After discovering the game of American Mahjong, we found a whole new passion.

We fell in love with the strategy, the competition, and the challenge of this unique game. Most of all, we enjoy getting together with friends around the table and having fun.

I've been a Des Moines local most of my life.

My husband and I are parents to 3 sons and 2 sweet and active grandchildren who keep us on our toes.

I love to play Mahjong, swing away on the tennis and pickleball courts or curl up with a good book.

The Mahj Duo Story

Born and raised near the equator where it is always hot with no chance of snow until moving to Des Moines in 2004.

Mom to a boy, a girl, a small white fluffy dog, and a soon to be empty nester.
